This course covers an introduction to basic incident/accident investigation procedures and describes incident/accident analysis techniques. The target audience is the employer, manager, employee or employee representative who is involved in conducting incident/accident investigations.
Course topics include definitions and variances, reasons for conducting investigations, roles and responsibilities related to investigations, incident/accident models and processes, reporting, preparedness and system improvement.

This course covers the best practices in crane and derrick operation using the OSHA Cranes and Derricks in Construction Rule as a guide. Course topics include hazards associated with crane assembly and disassembly, types of cranes, lifting concepts, rigging and wire rope, signaling, employee qualifications and training, and maintenance, repair, and inspection requirements. Students will participate in workshops to reinforce concepts of safe crane operation. Upon course completion students will have the ability to identify the types of cranes and their components and attachments, determine safe operating conditions, and recognize common violations of OSHA Standards.
This course focuses on demolition work involving many of the same hazards associated with construction work; however, it focuses and highlights added dangers due to unknown factors. The course concentrates on awareness and centers on assessment and critical countermeasures to unknowns. This course trains personnel involved in a demolition project the need to be fully aware of hazards and the safety precautions and critical thinking accessible to control them.
This course covers the EM385-1-1 prescribed Safety and Health requirements for all Corps of Engineers activities and operations. The course is directed at compliance with the US Army Corps of Engineers Contractor Safety and Health Requirements and provides an in-depth exploration of the EM 385-1-1 guidelines. This is critical knowledge for personnel contracting service, supply, research and development, construction, hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste site investigation, design, or remediation activities. EMR 's program is aimed at our clients’ necessities and will be adjusted to meet their needs under the requirements. We highly recommend a Hazard Analysis and or Position (s) Analysis be performed before the start of any training. Based on the needs the course is offered 16, 24, or 40 hours.
This course is designed for personnel working at height, or personnel who use fall prevention and/or protection equipment and systems, or who are responsible for safety at their job sites where fall hazards exist. This course covers the 29 CFR Part 1910 Subpart D Standards and 29 CFR Part 1926 Subpart M Standards for construction and an overview of fall protection methods. Course topics include principles of fall protection, components and limitations of fall arrest systems. Includes ANSI Z359, Z490 and Z10.32 and EM385-1-1 Standards and policies regarding fall protection.
Students will participate in workshops demonstrating the inspection and use of fall protection equipment, residential construction fall protection, training requirements, and developing a fall protection program. Upon course completion students will have the ability to assess compliance with the OSHA Fall Protection Standard, evaluate installed passive systems and fall arrest systems, and develop and implement fall protection plans. Safety leadership skills will also be addressed. Participants will be expected to complete a fall hazard assessment at the end of the class.
This course covers OSHA requirements for emergency action and fire protection plans. Course topics include purpose and requirements of emergency action and fire prevention plans, elements of emergency evacuation plans, and features of design and maintenance of emergency exit routes. Students will participate in workshops pertaining to the development of emergency action plans. Upon course completion students will have the ability to list the elements of an emergency action plan and emergency evacuation floor plans, recognize violations of OSHA exit route requirements, determine whether their organization requires an emergency action plan, and develop and implement workplace emergency action and fire protection plan.
OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, also known as "Right to Know Law," or HazCom is in Federal Regulation (29 CFR 1910.1200). OSHA made changes to modify the Standard and align it with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), a worldwide standard in 2012. The regulation requires chemical manufacturers and employers to communicate chemical hazard information to employees.
