PALS Instructor Courses
A PALS Instructor has the ability to teach any American Heart Association PALS Provider Course, PALS Provider Renewal Course and PEARS courses.
It is a 3 step process to become an AHA Instructor:
1. Have current AHA provider status in the discipline of the Instructor Course, and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline. Disciplines include ACLS, BLS, PALS, PEARS® and Heartsaver®.
2. Successfully complete the PALS classroom Instructor Course and Paperwork.
3. Successfully be monitored teaching your first course within six months after completing the Instructor Course. Training Center Coordinators may require additional monitoring.
*If you have taken the CORE in the past, you do not have to complete it again. If you can produce the certificate, you fulfill this requirement.
