Should I Take PALS?

EMR offers the American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to enhance your skills as a Pediatric Healthcare Provider. Our PALS course expands your knowledge and skills necessary to assess and treat critically ill infants and children. Whether you choose a traditional course or the PALS Heart Code online you receive a quality course in a comfortable environment and your AHA Certification upon successful completion. Course Options

PALS Initial Course - A two day traditional instructor led course that includes all required lessons and skills practice set forth by the AHA for a first timer or a healthcare provider that needs a little extra practice.

PALS Update Course - A one day traditional instructor led course designed for the healthcare provider who is renewing and is confident in their ACLS knowledge and skills.

PALS Heart Code Activation Key- A blended learning option that offers the flexibility to complete the cognitive portion, Part 1, online through the AHA's only approved website. EMR then offers the flexibility of scheduling the practice, Part 2, and testing, Part 3, session at one of our regularly scheduled skills checks or call (972)235-8330 to schedule your skills check.

Course Content

Recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; systematically approach pediatric assessments; effective respiratory assessment / management; rhythm recognition with defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, and pacing; IV and intraosseous access with fluid bolus and medication administration;1and 2-rescuer CPR and AED for Child and Infant, and effective resuscitation team dynamics and all other required lessons set forth by the AHA.

If you bring your pre-course exam to class (upon signing in on first day) with a passing score of 80% and fail to successfully complete the course, we will guarantee you free entrance to any of our traditional PALS courses for up to sixty days at no charge. There is no offer to retrain without paying for the class again if you do not bring your passed pre-test.

All Courses require registration. Have 6 or more students? We will come onsite. Additional Travel fees may be applied.

+All participants must take the pre-course exam. All current versions of this textbook have a code that allows access to AHA website. There is no limit to how many times you can take the pre-course exam.
