Instructor Courses

EMR is a multi-regional/multi-discipline American Heart Association Training Center. We have over 500 active instructors aligned with our training center and train all four major CPR instructor disciplines.

It is a 4 step process to become an AHA Instructor:

1. Have a current provider card in the discipline you would like to teach.
2. Complete the online essentials.
3. Register for the instructor course:

  • AHA105 - Heartsaver (HS) Instructor - General public CPR.
  • AHA105 - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Instructor - Basic healthcare CPR.
  • AHA102 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor - Adult advanced critical care.
  • AHA121 - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor - Children/Infants advanced critical care.

4. Practice what you learn in a supervised environment (Monitoring).
